I am neither enthusiastic or creative in the kitchen. I am, however, tired of eating the same things all the time.

Flist/circle, what are your favourite simple meals? Links to recipes would be highly appreciated.

*cough* My very simple favorite meal:

canned sauce + optional vegetables as advised on can + optional meat or meat replacement as advised on aforementioned can + rice or pasta

... although this might be what you've been eating already?

Not much of an adventurer here either, I'm afraid.

Hmm, one of my favourite simple meals feature a traditional Swedish sausage that's likely not easily available to you, so let's skip that one. Umm, I'm not very good with recipe English, though, so apologies for linguistic vagueness.

1. Easy pasta meal: Chop up a bit of garlic and, optionally, an onion or two and fry for about five minutes, not too hot. Add mashed tomatoes and increase the heat, let it boil for at least 15 minutes. Add salt, pepper, oregano and/or basil as you wish. Eat with pasta.

2. Almost-as-easy-pasta meal and more delicious: Chop up some fresh broccoli and boil it for a few minutes. Cut about 70 grams of bacon (or veggie substitutes) into small bits, fry for a few minutes. Take the broccoli off the stove, pour away the water and add it to the bacon/veggie bacon. Let fry together for a few minutes, then add creme fraiche, cream or some veggie cream. (*wikipedias* Crème fraiche is a little sour, but not as much as American sour cream: that might work too, though!) Stir, add salt and pepper and eat with pasta ( ... )
