I slammed my way through several manga and manhwa recently--I'm in the mood to read!--and I'm restlessly searching for the next series able to really hook me. I started with Amatsuki again, but. . . I don't think it's The One.
Perhaps I should try one of the many (many) novels I have piled up on every available surface in my bedroom, instead. I'm too intimidated to actually tackle my reading backlog.

Several people I follow on LJ/DW have written positively about Haven, the series based on Stephen King's "Colorado Kid." I. . . thought I'd like the series a lot more than I do. There's a partnership/partner 'ship, and a bad boy who has banter-y UST with the heroine, and yet. . . I'm still waiting for everything to *click.*
I am enjoying Endgame! There's a genius hero with a dead fiancee, which blah, so tired of that! But the characters are worth it. I picked up the first episode because of the gender balance (that's an odd reason to watch I show, I suppose): the lead and two other regular male characters, and three women (including a maid at the hotel where the action takes place. She's a grandmother. I love that.)
There's a
series intro over at
smallfandomfest. There's also
Tumblr spam.
