 . . .

There's something really very strange about this journal.  I don't even know why the man was so keen on me buying it, but I suppose it wouldn't hurt to keep some information down.  They always do say to keep track of your finances.  And who would bother to enchant a journal?  Looks like a lot of people have used it in the past . . . I'll ( Read more... )

As entertaining as your daily schedule may be, I will ask you to keep your itinerary to a minimum, as it is a distraction I can ill-afford.

My sincerest apologies, sir. I had not known . . . Please tear the page out immediately if it bothers you. I shall not use it inappropriately again.

Excellent. No harm done, then, it was an honest mistake.

Um. My apologies again, but . . . what do the holders of these journals use these for?

Do?

I suppose that answer would differ depending on to whom you were speaking. Myself, I use them for combining research, keeping in touch with my commander, and other such things.

You, on the other hand, are using it like a shopping list.

Oh. It's just that . . . I've been looking through and your first entry seemed to indicate that you picked up your journal by accident as well.

Of course, sir. I wouldn't even think of posting another asinine entry like this knowing that you and the other most powerful people of this country were reading it.

I am generally known as the Doktor, but there are some who call me Dok.

The Doktor . . . You are a healer, then? Do you care for the Emperor himself?

midriffed_medic August 21 2009, 04:38:56 UTC
Not a doctor of medicine, no, though I can perform such duties if called to them.

I am more a doctor of...science. And with my clan's reputation, the Emperor would hardly allow my hands at his person, especially were he to fall ill.

. . . . .

Um. What clan, exactly, would that happen to be, sir Doktor?

It is called Millennium. The Last Battalion. Are you familiar with it, Ivan?

The Last Battalion . . . ? I do not think I --

[The boy suddenly has a flash -- Millennium, the Last Battalion. An army of undead, their very existence a blight upon the land. Dark magic, a defeated enemy, and above all, the spirit of War.]

. . . . Then you are the one responsible for the creation of those . . . things.
