Back to (the actual) School
Today was the first day I was required to report to my building since March 17th, 2020.
To say it was surreal would be an understatement, especially since I put up the calendar for the month today and it's nearly a year since I had last changed the date on the very same calendar. I've been coming into the room for the past several months on and off so I had already gotten my teaching area put together and my bulletin board paper and borders up and ready to go. Today I worked on emptying the last couple of plastic tubs/cardboard boxes and started trying to clear off tables. My feet are killing me and my back and really sore. You forget just how physical prepping your classroom each year is until your body lets you know it's had enough.
Tomorrow will be my first day teaching from the school. Here's hoping our WiFi really can handle all of us being on Zoom and there aren't any technical difficulties!
