Helen has a cold. She has a runny nose and has been sleeping extra and fussing extra (when not sleeping). But with the sleeping extra part, I got some pictures put together.
Sleeping
On top of Bear Mountain
This was the hike that was really too steep--I thought I'd wrote about it in my journal, but I guess I hadn't. When I was holding the baby, I kept being worried I'd fall and somehow drop her. My husbandworried he'd fall and crush her.
I'm a goofball!
First and last day for this outfit. She'd just been freed from her harness, and this outfit didn't really snap under her legs.
Hike long...so tired...
This was the (flat) (we learned) trip to Doodletown, which was sold to the park service and dismantled in the 1960s. (I mention it in passing
here)
Peter Cotton Tail
I took this one just because the white sock kinda looks like an off-center bunny tail.
If I were clever, there'd be a pun here
Apparently, many Scandells were laid to rest in Doodletown.
Hoyer's broadens their offerings
After Doodletown, we stopped off at Hoyer's ice cream. Those of us with teeth ate ice cream, and Helen paid a visit to her personal nourishment dispensers.
sbtorpey noticed the oddness of the Usenix T-shirt here, so we got a picture.
Very asleep.
I love dancing mama!
I think the music in the background was "Home For a Rest"
Helen collapses.
In which we see that Helen's parents are not all that tidy. John has a much more artistic picture of Helen sleeping, but he has about ten of them, and I didn't know which one to post.
Take that you stupid fish!
I left Helen under her hanging toys and came back to find them not hanging anymore.
Help! My clothes are eating me!
Helen is about 3 months, and these are 6 month clothes, so perhaps it's not so surprising.
I'm still a goofball!
