[Meanwhile, Barnaby is blissfully unaware of his own loss, since his own memory shows nothing about his parents' death, or the betrayal of his father figure of nearly twenty years.

But he does remember Kotetsu, somewhat. And he's kind of unimpressed by the fact that he had to rescue him at least once.

When he notices him with a melancholy expression on his face, though--unusual for him, really--something tells him that he should probably be cautious here. After all, the older man's been around longer. Maybe he finally remembered something that wasn't what he expected.
