[video] HEY, SIROCCO, GET YOUR JUSTICEBUTTS IN GEAR ALREADY

Nov 14, 2011 00:22

Okay, so. I just remembered some more stuff and...I think I was a--a superhero back home! Or, uh, something like that.

Wow, this sounds ridiculous.

I mean...I don't know what else you'd call flying around beating up bad guys with green energy beams. [Danny shifts, his gaze moving to the corner of the room off-screen. He fidgets and looks ( Read more... )

Hey, how about that? Sounds like there's a lot of us around, then! I know I come from a place with superheros.

So that's what all that power was about, huh? Not too shabby! Great line of work.

Oh--really? Is it just you and me, or...are there even more people too?

You think? It sounds like it'd be really dangerous. Although I guess that doesn't matter much when you're already dead, huh...?

Seems like it! Or at least some folks who would be with the right equipment. We could get a real band together at this rate. No television crew, mind, but who needs it?

Hey, the danger pays off in the lives saved. Trust me, it's a damned rewarding business.

Like...a group of superheroes? Just, around here and all?

That...actually sounds pretty cool!

It is! At least, I think it is, from what I remember... It's just kinda weird, remembering all this stuff I thought only happened in comic books and movies and stuff, heh.

They happen in the comics too! At least, the ones they publish about the real guys. There's trading cards and all sorts of other stuff too. It really gets you excited about heroes!

*Faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanboy.*

About the real guys? What do you mean? Aren't all of those comic books just made-up stories?

[Yeeeaaaah. Danny doesn't know if he read comic books or not, but they've always been totally fake and fictional until...well, until he remembered otherwise five minutes ago.]

Not where I'm from! Some people want to reread about some of our adventures -- if they don't have it on video first! It's awesome!

Wait, so--so people make comic books about the superhero stuff you actually do?

Why not? Okay, it's kind of cheesy, but if it gets more people into them, who am I to complain?

Into...superheroes? Being superheroes?

...What about your, uh, secret identity, though? Doesn't that mean everyone knows who you are?

Of course not! The comics never go into those parts.

*Apparently these are rather different comics.*

Uhhh...right.

...Is there a comic about every superhero out there where you're from?
