Final Day

Dec 31, 2011 23:54

The moon is officially taking up more room than the sky. The words "crash course" has never been more ideal to describe a situation. And no, seriously guys, as far as I know, the word Majora was just made up yesterday, I swear.

With a gigantic Moon of Damocles above your head... what will you do with your last ten minutes?

*There's a time to be happy and cheerful, and there's a time to be serious.

Tsuruya is directing as many people as she can to the basement of the hotel. Perhaps it's not enough, with such a large object looming close to kill them all. But she's doing something at least.*

Come on, keep calm! It'll be all right, I'm sure of it! But please, keep moving! We need to save everybody we can!

[Definitely heading down to the basement.]

You be careful too, okay?

Of course! I gots faith this will all work out somehow! But just because I'm confident don't mean we shouldn't prepare for the worst!

[A smile.]

Yeah! Come down when you're done, okay? I'll be waiting down there.

[Now, normally Ruby would be panicking. But now is definitely not the time to do that. He's got all his Pokemon out and ready to try everything he can once the moon is close enough to attack.]

*He's standing on the roof, waiting with a certain feeling of doom. But he's gotta do what he can for others.*

Geez... even a hundred times the strength can only do so much when the frickin' moon's falling...

[Joachim claps him on the back. He's been prowling around high places all day with zip to show for it, and has been periodically swinging back and forth between anguish and manic good cheer.]

True, it's a shame we can't fight it! But keep your head up high! It won't do for a hero to be seen in despair in a time of crisis!

Joachim, we may be from different worlds, but we're not so different in a lot of ways, you and I. Let's do what we can to make sure everybody else lives through this!

And only five minutes to use it.

[But hey, he's trying to do what he can as well.]

Well, this is it. The moon is about ready to put on its city tenderizers and, pardon the pun, go to town. Could anything stop its descent?

(Of course there is, and if you expected otherwise, shame on you.)

As it gets closer and closer, the moon stops looking like a big ol' chunk of asteroid and more... gemlike. Shiny. Smooth. A slight hint of color in each segmented area.

Oh look there's a familiar face.

Could anyone have guessed that instead of crushing buildings, the moon would shatter into anemoi as soon as it touched the first skyscraper? As soon as the all too familiar Doomtrain came rushing out of the explosion, would it all make more sense?

But this time, he was not alone. A bevy of similar creatures rushed out of the moon with him; among them, a gigantic flying blue whale shooting a jet of water in the air, followed by a crystal blue female crystallizing the water into snow, causing an instant snowfall for the area.

From those capable of speech, only a few words were spoken:
