devendra-ness!
oh gosh.
i was wandering around the comedy store and i peeked down a set of stairs, and i saw this man in a long coat, he says "hello i'm liam, do you like this song? i wrote this song" ahaaa, devendra singing along to oasis, he was just off to do a sound check but i managed to say hey, and mentioned the cd he owed me! haha! the set itself was quite a few new songs, a cover of a lauren hill song, and [at the hop, little yellow spider, a sight to behold, will is my friend]
after the set devendra said he was going to get me a cd, and i'm guessing it was his own personal burned copy, it skips and jumps a lot, but now i can listen to it without feeling guilty!
i desperately wanted him to sing be kind, but my shouting out brought no luck, after the show i was talking to devendras drummer, jona, and he was like "you know we should just play it now" so me, my sister and a couple other people got our very own private performance of "be kind"! it has to be one of the most awesome things i've witnessed. some guy recorded it on his camera, i'm hoping to get a copy of it! :)
i got to talk to devendra for a while, and asked him about his leaked cd, but he said he didn't really mind, and he knew who has leaked it, and whatnot, and we spoke about anthony & the johnsons, who devendra said has the golden hair of a child. oooh so wonderful, i still cant believe how wonderful it was *sigh*
fingers crossed i'll be going to see him in london next week, ooh and devendra's bass player is called luckey! aww!
