copy-and-pasted from my myspace bulletin:
Want to do something good for humanity AND become the proud owner of a totally bitchin' hand-knit (and custom-made, at your request) hat and/or scarf, such as one like the fine specimens above?
Yes? Well, good sir or madam, we got one-stop shopping for you right here!
100% of the proceeds from the sales of knitted items made by the members of
Schools For Schools's KSU chapter will go directly to their sponsor school, Awere Secondary School in northen Uganda-- where the student body is largely made up of internally displaced persons (some of whom were some of the so-called 'invisible children') affected by the
insurgency of the Lord's Resistance Army.
Prices are generally somewhere from $15 to $20; if you have any questions and/or special orders you can e-mail my sister at faithriley@aol.com. Also, this month Invisible Children is doubling the money raised, so if you are interested then please RSVP ASAP.
Quit yr strategic Top 8-placement would-be activist-posturing and yr yapping about "save the invisible children!" (I'm lookin' at you, Fall Out Boy) and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.
Thank you for your time.
