today i went to the army surplus store to get a pea coat.
who buys a winter coat in the summer?
apparently, i do
when my mind wanders & i'm bored.
and then i spend my afternoon(s)
writing or transcribing things that
[seem like they] only mean anything to me
& that [in all likelihood] no one will ever read,
using a primitive, bulky, & noisy typewriter.

i'm ready for classes to start.
even if i'm not really enamored with
the school i'll be taking them at.
