because you let me borrow your p&p dvd three or four years ago, even though i hadn't finished the book yet like you wanted me to.
because we go to half price books and you never discourage me from buying books i don't need, except, of course, the concise peyps.
because i think only you would be able to convince me to stop sense & sensibility in order to go get milkshakes, and then sing baby got back at the top of your lungs like me.
because you let me help you commie-ize metcalf's classroom. and for being a fellow history nerd in general.
for introducing me to the nastiness that is raspberry vodka and diet coke.
for when watching love actually, agreeing to watch hugh grant dance around the PM's mansion several times before the movie can go on. and for watching hugh grant and colin firth fight several times before bridget jones movies can go on. and for watching colin firth jump into lakes several times before the movie can go on.
for hauling yourself out of bed at ungodly hours of the morning during summer vacation to go walk with me & sam in the blazing morning texas heat.
and most importantly: because you were there for me when i needed you. five minutes later, you were there. with chocolate. and you listened. and you let me go on and on. and you skipped class to keep me company the next day. and i can't tell you how much that meant to me.
