I can't believe that I had to drive home today. I'm working at the moment, so I haven't actually made it there yet. I still have three hours to go. It's been two weeks now since I left and I don't really miss it at all.
The last two weeks have been nearly perfect. I've had a chance to see nearly everybody I wanted to see, and the time with them just went too quickly! The skiing was incredible spring conditions and, for the first time ever, I got to begin my week on skis and end it barefoot on the beach. Life doesn't get more perfect than this.
I swear, unemployment has been a very enlightening experience. If I could find a way to become independently wealthy, I now know how I would want to live and what I want to do. Once I have income again, I have to figure out how to make as much of it happen as I can. So far, I have a hatchling plot that I want to put into motion which, if it works, will revolve around my ability to kick ass and will solve the dilemma of how to get back down to where I want to be. The first step is to succeed at my phone screen with RIM on Monday.
In other news, I've finally started to revive my professional online presence. For now, it's just a blog that links to my Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, but once I decide how I want to design it and what technology to use to make it happen, I'm going to dust off my code monkey muscles and make it happen. At the moment, I have
http://blog.debbierussell.net up and live. I don't know if it will be of any interest to anybody here, but it's there. :)
