Rickmania in full effect
In sad absence of real life eyecandy, I have to turn to idolatry again.
I generally don't like browsing around youtube, but a certain fan video of Mr. Rickman was praised and I concur - if I'd recommend a best of ARick, I'd say watch this one. It's hot! The first few seconds render me speechless and it's all downhill from there. (contains NSFW scenes)

Last night I watched The Song of Lunch, I still have part 4 of 4 to watch tonight. It's ARick's newest work, aired on BBC last week or so. It's a poem that was turned into a 1 hour TV movie that is very depressing. (Spoilers from here on)
A man meets his former girlfriend after 15 years have passed. Back then, she left him for a now famous novelist and they are happily married and wealthy. The narrator (Rickman) himself is still a small copywriter who works in an office, unmarried, unhappy.
His former GF (Emma Thompson) is positive and happy, while he is all over negative and in despair on the inside. On the outside, he acts rude and ends up getting drunk, ruining the whole date, running away from the restaurant and falling asleep somewhere. The whole time you just want to scream at the screen.
Anyhow. The point of this post was to mention the difference between Snape fangirls and ARIck's general fanbase. Which consists of women who tripped and fell into a bathtub full of aphrodisiac. It's really out of control.
Severus fangirls often are full of romance and melancholy. ARick's ladies don't bother with those. As I descend into password protected, hidden dungeons, ARick becomes Mr. Sexman and his name and image have been used in every (and I mean every) way possible. Even though I am by myself in the room, I cast a look over my shoulder every few seconds to check if nobody sees what I see.
I found that ARick's movies contain many sex scenes, and of course those are being scrutinized, screencapped, analyzed and then used for fic. It's agreed on that Mr. Sexman is "a moaner", and that being submissive to Sexman is a reasonable dream to chase. (I don't know…looking at RedShorty, I'm not sure if Sexman isn't the one who's being submissive, but that's just a theory.)
So that said, I've never encountered a fanbase that is this crazy, I love it! I'd love to watch more Rickman but I have family visiting and after mentioning ARick's name 4 times in one day, they grow suspicious. So I'm keeping quiet now.
