A great attempt for a change.

Though each one of us feel frustrated about the way terrorism is badly handled, as common man, we cannot do much apart from cribbing about politics, reading news links, fwding sentimental and patriotic mails, sympathizing with victims, honoring our national heros and what not. So Let's Form Another Party IN the US? heroditus December 23 2008, 05:07:59 UTC
I can understand the feelings of this person. However, the road to building a party in the US is extremely difficult to navigate. Look at the last efforts of the Reform Party and the Green Party in the 1990s. Reform at first had the money and backing of Perot. And had he actually formed structure it might have become a solid party. But like Theodore Roosevelt before him in 1912, he had no interest in anything but the presidency ( ... )

I agree with your views about un-necessary security measures affecting the comfort of the common man, while the criminals really have better plans overriding security meansures.

This site is just an attempt, atleast would enlighten the common Indian man, about whom he would actually want his country to be led by ! This effort by no means gaurantees a better nation tomorrow, but atleast it would have made a couple of people think about eligible leaders !

And just like you mentioned how the last American elections brought about a turning point, this site might be one of those small steps for India in that direction. And its a really small step, may be insiginificant to the vast problems already this country is facing, we have a long way to reach there, but we atleast turned and made this little move towards that.

A great attempt for a change - laudable but unachievable.

there seems to be some prb with the site, allowing people to vote for the same person more than once.. guess, people who require some particular leader are crazy just like their leaders, and keep voting again and again..

seems, accuracy and precision would be difficult in mass projects !
