How to have home-made food and variety ?

This post is about having different varieties of home-made food without entering your own kitchen.

Its good to have friends who stay with their parents, and more good to have friends moms' who are eager to feed you with good food and variety. Last week, on Wednesday when  I was at Rash's place and we had hot home-made tasty Paddus, followed by Aunty sending my favorite Bisi-Bela-bath early saturday morning. ( ok, it wasnt really early, but Rash making it at my place at 8.40 am when she was supposed to be at 8 am )  is quite early, that too on a weekend.

Yesterday I was at Vee' s place, and mid-chat with her mom, I happened to tell her mom about the mixed veg soup I had at their place last year on a rainy evening, and Aunty got the enthu to make hot vegetable soup. I also got the short-cut-quick recipe from Aunty while Vee got the bread roasted.  I also got info from Vee and her sis, that Aunty really makes excellent Pulav( both chicken and veg), and we have made plans for that too. After that, I didnt want to return home to my boring dinner, so Bro and I went out to Nagarjuna's followed by Corner House ice creams !

Again last week, at R's place, I had Hot chicken Briyani made by her mom and even took some as parcel for my bro at home too . I am not too much of a chicken fan but then nothing can beat, eating even a simple daal-sabji meal at R's home Well, in the weekend, when I was again at R's place, we had some fresh home made coconut burfi too after a tasty vegetarian Andhra meal.

I just observed that all the 3 of them are from different southern states and I am really enjoying the different flavors. Now I am looking for some north-indian friends home kitchens too :)

Summary : There is no way, I am going to lose all these extra pounds !

friends, food
