Roller Coaster Continues !
One month into the new year, ups and downs keep happening ! Like yesterday, when I was filling my water bottle in the pantry, the bottle slipped and I split water all over near the access door. This pantry floor is non-carpeted, so anyone entering the pantry through the door from the carpeted workspace, would slip right away. So I stood there( I am jobless, remember) waiting for some housekeeping boys to come and clean it up. Usually these guys are seen around in the pantry, but when you really need them, they are absconding. Now, being a good samaritan, I stand there and warn 2 unsuspecting fellow workers of water ahead. After a minute, when there is noone and I am confident there would be nobody suddenly entering in the next 1 min, I take 2 steps forward to peep into the corridor to call out for helpdesk guys. The next moment, I was on the floor. My slippers are not wet-floor friendly ! Huh !. Nothing major and luckily there was no one around, so it didnt turn out to be an embarrassing incident. Oh, yeah there is a 360 degree camera focusing even ants on the floor, So I am sure I was shot yesterday. The security guys are going to have a tough time wondering what I really was upto when they see the movie !
Not enough, after a while, I open my bank account to check my bank balance growing. Well, after being jobless and non-billable for a month, my employer has credited 40K+ extra salary into my account. I am not sure if it is some sort of bribe asking me to hold on here though being jobless. Need to talk with payroll helpdesk today after I see my payslip for Jan-07.
Not a bad year after all. Waiting for more ups and downs. Wish the ups were more.
