(no subject)
I'm excited about this so I'm writing about it all over the place.
I got promoted to Publications Designer I at SCBT and I start at $14.50 an hour. I'm so stoked. Jo still works there and oooh! I'm so ready to come home!!
Two more weeks of AmeriCorps and then I can put it in my memory box and walk on. I will volunteer 'til the day I die, but I don't think I'd ever join another AmeriCorps program again. You really gotta be able to commit to that shit. Like, full-time, non-stop, penniless commitment. It's tough.
Andrew is gonna fly out and we're driving back through Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona to get home. We're each doing one 6 hour shift a day, which will get us home in three or four days. I'm excited. Mostly to get home. <3

Tonight I saw a Prairie Home Companion recorded live. If you missed it tonight, listen to it tomorrow at 11. It was at Wolf Trap and it was WONDERFUL. He was standing not one foot from me at one point. "He" as in Garrison Keillor. Who is funny as all get out. He wore a suit with red running shoes and moves around alot when he sings. He came up onto the lawn and drank something a random lady offered him from a plastic cup. I think it was wine. He was singing this patriotic medley. It was fantastic.
