Tablo/Hyukjae - Fly (357 words)
No one pays attention to the lone figure laying in the grass in the park as they walk through. The wind is whistling, blowing colorful leaves, bringing the smells of the coming storm and they have more important things to worry about. He doesn't notice them either, to his credit, but stranger things have happened here. So the man continues to lay, staring straight up into the overcast sky with blank eyes and a broken spirit. Those things are hard to notice anyway.
Hyukjae wants to fly. He wants to be able to soar above the tall buildings and trees, over the sea and into a new life. He wants a life where he can really smile again and not feel like his face is going to crack and peel away and leave the real him raw and exposed. Where he can leave the ache in his chest behind and numb everything else that comes with it.
He wants to forget everything that he's been through and seen and lost. Everything except for those eyes, that smile, that voice that used to always comfort him when he needed it the most. Those arms that would wrap him tightly in and hold him protected from the rest of the world. But he can't have that back. It was taken away from him just when he thought it would be his forever and he doesn't know what to do or where to turn without the man there to hold his hand and promise him everything will be okay.
Hyukjae wants to fly. And he wants Tablo to be there waiting for him when he gets there and to have everything else have been a horrible dream that he left a world away as he made his way home. Because home is where your heart is and the older man has had it in his hand from the moment they met. So it doesn't really matter where he is now and where he'll go from here because he'll never really have a home again.
Hyukjae wants to fly, but how can you fly when your wings have been taken away?
Kangin/Heechul - Hate U, Love U (580 words)
Kangin watched from across the crowded backstage area and tried to hide the jealous curl on his lips as he watched the pair together. They were just friends and both his friends. He knew that and he loved them both and he knew that both of them knew that. But both on entirely different levels. He wasn't sure just how much of that was known but that was part of the game. For no one to know. He had to force his eyes away from their smiles and laughs and touches after a few minutes, a combination of feeling sick to his stomach at their actions and the warm body sitting beside him and wrapping an arm firmly around his shoulder.
"It's okay to admit it. You love him," the voice murmured into his ear as a chin rested on his shoulder. When he turned his eyes met the all knowing dark ones of his best friend and he sighed heavily shaking his head. Eeteuk knew too much about him for his own good sometimes. That didn't mean he'd admit to anything that wasn't going anywhere. Feelings hadn't been a part of their deal when this started and he wasn't one to follow anyone around like a puppy. No matter what he may or may not have felt.
"There's nothing there, Teukie-yah," he murmured gently resting his head against Eeteuk's after pecking his forehead softly and hugging him back. His presence was enough to comfort him if nothing else. He was sure the older boy knew this because his hold didn't loosen as he leaned against him forcing his eyes anywhere but across the room to the two, even when he could feel the hot stare burning into the side of his face. "Even if I did it would never happen. No one can love Heechul, they'd only get hurt in the end and it's too much. He's too much," he murmured quietly and closed his eyes willing his mind off of the older boy.
Later, when his back was pressed into the wall and teeth were sinking down into his bottom lip, though, he couldn't keep his chest from aching slightly. As he held the slender hips tight enough to bruise he felt his resolve start to weaken, his hands trembling slightly as he pushed him down onto the bed and crawled over him. Staring with darkened eyes and dilated pupils, he hissed down at him, his voice little more than a whisper as the hot breath passed over the older boy's lips. "I hate you," he spoke with all the emotion he could muster, holding one of the boy's cheeks so he couldn't look away from him. "I hate you."
And then they were kissing again and he could feel fingers tangling into his hair and legs wrapping tightly around his waist. A low groan passed through his lips as Heechul rolled his hips up against Kangin's before pulling back and looking back at him with the look mirrored in his own eyes. His voice was almost a snarl as he spoke but it held the same emotion the other's had as he stared seriously into his eyes, his fingers tightening in the jet black locks. "I hate you too. Now fuck me," he demanded and if Kangin didn't know him better he would have sworn there had been a twinkle in his eyes before he pulled him down for another needy kiss and he convinced himself it was just a trick of the light.
Siwon/Eeteuk - Act One (533 words)
Siwon couldn't help the dimpled smirk that crossed his face as he saw the smaller man swallow hard. His Adam's apple bobbed slightly and he had to fight to keep himself from moving to lick over it. It didn't matter he had his complete attention anyway as he dipped his hand back down over rough jeans to rub the obvious bulge there.
The train was almost empty; an elderly couple sitting on the other end of the car they were in was their only company for the ride back. Siwon didn't even know this angel's name but he did know he was completely gorgeous and he couldn't help himself when something pretty was dangled in front of him.
The red head, for his part, hadn't turned away from him when Siwon had licked over his lips and let his hand trail slowly over a clothed leg. His eyes stayed down and his cheeks turned a light shade of red but he still watched everything that was happening through dark lashes. He himself was the first to draw his zipper down silently, a glance shooting to the chatting couple and sinking teeth into his lip nervously.
Siwon knew he'd won then, mirroring the movement. He felt his chest would explode as he heard a quiet whimper, the first noise the other man had uttered since this started. They still had to be mindful, even in this late hour and with the end of the car to themselves. There was always the possibility of someone else boarding and walking in on their show.
As hands moved into boxers and started to pump simultaneously, he could feel the eyes burning into his face and lowered his lashes, a wet tongue daring out for an instant to wet dry lips. The other boy was begging under his breath, a small whine that drove Siwon crazy as he tried to keep quiet, and moved his hand faster.
A low growl and a soft gasp were the only noise to signal an end to the act and Siwon shuddered slightly at the waves of pleasure washing through him. The smirk crossed his face again slowly as the already red cheeks flushed darker and he pulled an abandoned piece of newspaper from across the bench to wipe his hand off as he waited patiently for the next stop.
He stood when the next station came into view, walking across the aisle towards the stranger and leaned down to whisper in in his ear. "Call me when you feel like seeing act two," he murmured huskily into the boy's ear, and slipped a card into his hand with his personal number on it. He was pleased by the shudder that ran through the boy as he spoke and he nipped at the shell of his ear before straightening himself and he turned away. He walked off the train when the doors opened without a look back. If he didn't call, Siwon wouldn't be dissappointed, but if he did...
He laughed quietly to himself thinking of the flushes face again as he'd fist set eyes on him and looked at his watch. There would be another train coming in fifteen minutes. Perfect.
Henry Gen. - Family Ties (552 words)
Henry still has a hard time settling in whenever the group has to go back to Korea. Super Junior has many commitments to keep and side projects are easily pushed to the side when they come up. Not that he doesn't mind the short breaks in between all their hectic schedules in China.
All those months of speculation and outspoken debates did little for his self esteem and a little part of him still feels on edge about it. Before Super Junior M, before Zhou Mi it was just him. He was the outsider, the interloper, the one that didn't belong. He stopped reading the comments a few weeks in but it didn't hurt less.
In China it's different, though. When he's performing as a part of SJ-M he knows exactly where he stands. He knows the fans' hearts and even if his communication skills aren't the best he knows that they love him and hopefully they know how much he loves them for giving him the support and encouragement he needed to pick him back up.
In China, as a part of a SM Town show, he's hesitant. It's full of people who belong. Who've always been accepted as a part of a group and he's nervous even though it's not his first time around the block. He's met with enough of them at least once or twice, the Super Junior hyungs much more. It's performing in front of them, more than the fans, that makes him nervous.
All the debate comes back to mind before he takes the stage, though he tries his best to concentrate for all the cheering fans there to see him. Maybe for all the guys he knows are watching backstage as well, even if he won't admit that. He realizes when he comes off the stage from performing how silly his worry seems in the long run, though.
The small crowd that had been watching is smiling when they come down the stairs. He watches members start talking animatedly as soon as they're off the last step and starts to turn away when he feels an arm wrap around his middle and pull him back. He's slightly startled when he turns, but not at all surprised to see Sungmin smiling down at him.
He's drawn back into the group that gathered to talk about this and that and he can't help but relax into his hyung's side, actually joining into the conversation here and there when he can, in still sloppy Korean. Eeteuk remarks on how much he's grown since the last time they've seen each other, Hyukjae complements his dancing since the Don't Don days, and even Kangin reaches over and ruffles his hair affectionately once or twice throughout the conversation.
The bad vibes and all the worry he'd had before the show start to slip farther and farther away as the night progresses and he remembers what it's like to be a part of the Super Junior family again. He might not be one of the thirteen but he can't find himself caring. Either way his hyungs accept him and love him as Henry and nothing else. As long as he can remind himself of that when things start to get rough again he knows everything else will work itself out in the end.
T.O.P/G Dragon - Time Will Tell (682 words)
When Jiyong starts hanging out with Seunghyun more it's not really noted by many people. They're band mates, they're friends, and they have a lot in common. There's always new ideas to be bounced back and forth off of each other and Seunghyun's had a lot of new compositions that he always wants advice on. Their leader's more experienced at this kind of thing. At least for the band.
Youngbae notices. From the beginning it's always been him and Jiyong. They were best friends before Big Bang was even thought of, they were GDYB. They still are, bit it's different now. Youngbae can see things changing a little bit at a time and it stings bug he won't admit it to anyone else. He sees the way that Jiyong smiles and laughs when he and Seunghyun have their heads together, bent down over the table and looking over a messy piece of paper. He sees the looks that Seungyun gives Jiyong when he thinks no one's looking. Most of all he sees how oblivious they both are to everything that's happening.
Jiyoung's always been his. His best friend, his confidant, his partner, sometimes even his protector as comical as it sounded. But he sees the shift happening and he's not sure what to do about it. There's nothing he really can do about it. There's subtle differences to this relationship than the one he has with Jiyong himself, though. Youngbae's not in love with Jiyong. Not really, not like that. He's just possessive over one of the most important relationships in his life. He sees, though, that what they have isn't what's forming here. He's not sure if that sets him more at ease or worries him more.
His decision comes not too much longer. It's been months since ge first noticed something happening and it's so slowly moving he's almost surprised when it happens. Almost, but not really, because he's seen it all along, after all. They're shooting and Jiyong and Seunghyun are standing way too close and their stare is way too serious, and Youngbae can calculate the exact moment it all clicks for both of them. They manage to finish the shoot but Youngbae knows that Jiyong is off his game after that. He's his best friend it's his job to notice even if no one else does.
The days after the video shoot are almost back to normal for Youngbae. Jiyong is back to sitting by his side whenever they're free and they laugh and joke and nothing's different. Except there's a shadow in his eyes that's been there since that day and he goes stiff whenever Seunghyun enters a room of gets too close and Youngbae knows what's on his mind without him ever having said a thing.
Leaning over, he wraps his arms lightly around his waist and whispers into his ear. The others are starting to finally notice something off and he doesn't want things to be even more difficult for his friends before they have to be. "Jiyongie.. Go talk to him." He shoots him an understanding look and nods toward the room Seunghyun's just dissappeared into but leaves it at that.
He smiles as the boy heads nervously off but it still stings to watch him leaving. He's giving up a piece of something that was all his before but he knows that his best friend will always be just that and he'll just have to get used to sharing. At least it's with someone he trusts with his own life, he knows Jiyong will be in good hands if they can get over the first huge hurdle standing in their way.
When they emerge from the room a few hours later there's no dramatic change in the two. They don't stand any closer or touch any longer than normal but the hesitant smile Jiyong shoots Youngbae is enough for him to know. It's hopeful and that's enough to quiet the monster in his chest to at least a dull roar. It's something livable and for now he can deal with that.
