How do you have access to a computer?

A friend of mine brought one in, as well as the parts to make a solar charger. It just took a bit of tinkering, but, well... [And here he leans forward, clearly hugging the laptop.] Ahhhhh

[His expression changes dramatically (well, dramatically for somebody who generally has but one expression) when he hears the scientist say solar charger. This is obviously somebody who knows a thing or two about technology.]

A solar charger? What is a solar charger?

A charging unit for the laptop that takes its energy from the sun. Takes hours to get to a decent power level, but it's better than using the computer a door stop, mm?

I told you! A friend of mine happened to bring a box of bits here with her, and there were the parts to build on in there, luckily enough!

A lot of other parts too, but sadly not really much of use right now.
