NaNoWriMo Update
So yeah, those of you who happened to read my entry at the end of October should recall that I was about to make my second attempt at NaNoWriMo. The target, of course, is to write 50,000 words during the month of November. My previous attempt produced a rather poor 6,000 and so, at the very least, I was looking for an improvement on that.
'So how did you do?' is the least frequently asked question of my recent past. In spite of that I shall tell you anyway, I managed an almost-spectacular-but-nevertheless-still-technically-failworthy 32,333.
Still, I'm reasonably happy with that. Most of the failure was down to running out of time because it took me way too long to actually work out where the novel was going. Having a conference the last weekend of November really didn't help either. I took my netbook with me but sadly there was an open bar and people to drink with so it was never really likely to happen.
But I'm already planning for next year. Or rather I'm thinking of planning for next year. But hey...November's still a way off yet :)
