I've had a YouTube account for quite a while now. I suspect a lot of people have accounts and never do anything with them other than watch other people's videos. But. On February 24th I uploaded some videos. Yes, I'm now officially a movie director. OK, so they're never going to win any prizes at Cannes but they're all my own work - jerky cameras and all. We have...some sealions, a polar bear and the fountains at the Bellagio. And then, having recorded a song and a bit at The Twang concert on Monday, I decided to upload those and the two others (previously blogged here) of Morrissey and Muse. So now I have SEVEN videos on YouTube. It's a dizzy height that some people only dream of. Since uploading on Tuesday night, my Twang videos have had a combined total of 74 views. The other five videos have a combined total of 52. I guess more people are into The Twang than the fountains at The Bellagio right now. And who could blame them? I have a project in the pipeline of a Grand Canyon video. I think I have about 3 or 4 minutes of footage and I'd like to edit it together and add some music to it. Will I ever? We'll see.
Anyway, instead of rambling, how about I just post you a link and you can increase my view count some more?
Good idea... In other news, happy from my glorious Twang outing on Monday, I'm planning to spend more time watching local/upcoming/unsigned bands in small local venues. You get so much more for your money even if you do occasionally have to endure some rubbish. I reckon six quid for three bands playing 10 yards away from you is better value than forty quid for two bands playing half a mile away from you. I could be wrong. But yeah. More gigs, more locally. That's the plan. If anyone's interested in joining me I shall be posting details here periodically.
