The Happening
Much too late in coming, but better late than never...
Needless to say, our yard was overrun with weeds after getting back from our 'moon. It probably didn't help that we didn't do any preventive lawn care before leaving, but add in all the rain while we were gone, and our yard was veritable jungle. Case in point:

We'll have to yet see what comes of the late garden planting. We have some garden-envy of our neighbors a few yards to the south. They're already showing a multitude of tomatoes...while we only have a few.
