Thoughts on Saturday
- I didn't let a blown 100-point lead in the opener get to me.
- Mistakes I did make didn't come back to bite me in the ass like they sometimes do in tournaments.
- I had some really timely medium and low-prob finds (EGILMPS and HIRRUY??, from the U, in a 3-turn span that saved things for me in round 5)
- I caught some pretty key breaks late in the tournament as well (opponent missing 36-point outplay, among others that I won't mention)
All in all, was a good Scrabble day, and my rating bounced back up a few points.
