Stretch out and back
I just totally discovered how to make my Soc Professor eat hot lunch and love it. We were discussing an article today about "The Disneyfication" of today's youth (yeah I know, oh god kill me now). It was a lot of writing about gender roles and stereotypes and blah blah blah. The thing is, I threw in some input about Finding Nemo and she fucking ate it all. Something about Dori being a more progressive character as a strong female lead who overcomes adversity despite her disability (shitty memory). She made me repeat the statement again and then made a point of thanking me for my input at the end of class.
What a bitch.
Anyway, naptime since I've got my volunteer shift today at the LGBT Center and all that. Then Personal Essay (YAY!) and off to dinner and then Juan's Birfday present shopping. I wish I were 21 already...Just a few more months...Grr...
BTW...Jesus Christ Vampire Hunter this week and next at Cornell Cinema for any of you locals...GO SEE IT!!!
