A woman needs Richard's help. Last time that happened in an episode with Ted Raimi, Kahlan almost got eaten by a Shadrin.

Richard wants to help the woman.
Cara doesn't understand why she's
the only one who still remembers they're on a quest.

Dear director,
Why is Kahlan looking at Cara and having what seems to be
an entire conversation in only 1/18 of the screen?
I am not pleased.

I always get tingly when a fight montage is coming.
ALSO: THIGH.

In the heat of the battle, one of the bad guys gets away, so Cara goes after him.

Then Kahlan gets hit with a fucking arrow.
She's not worried, because she knows Cara can cauterize the wound.

GUH.

IDC if this sequence defies all laws of biology, but
Cara continuing to fight after having her throat slit = EPIC.

Is this a Lost episode? If so, get me the fuck out.

She's so badass, she doesn't even wake up in the Underworld,
it's like the Underworld wakes up to Cara.

Cara: "Rahl!"

GUH again. Big time.

I just adore how she wants to leave ASAP.
I'd want to leave if I had R/K waiting for me too.

As if I needed more reason to hate the WGN logo placement...

This episode gets better with every re-watch. Cara wants to take the deal, and she's not too
worried about killing, because she is so used to being the awesome killing machine that she is.

But suddenly she has to kill not to serve, but for selfish reasons, and she doesn't really
realize how hard it will be, because the way she sees, she doesn't have a choice.

I love how Richard doesn't question her excuse. She didn't even have her dagger on her...
how would she get that much blood in a nice straight line just on her neck?

Cara sees someone she can kill.

There's some discussion going on, but honestly I'm just staring at the pretty.

Richard kicks down a door with ~style.
Actually, this is what happens when you have epic sex on leaves, and then you can't have sex anymore.
Obs.: Sexual frustration is not the reason why Cara kicks down doors. She's just that awesome.

So there's a fight, but it's got awful lighting and the caps looked awful, so... just know Cara doesn't find anyone to kill.

The couple is all "OMG THANKS!" and Richard's all "crap, now they're getting laid, and I'm still not."

Cara has a heart-to-heart talk with a baneling, who is nosy as fuck, and wants to know the
reason why Cara took the deal. So Cara looks at Richard, just as Kahlan conveniently enters the shot.
ILU SHOW.

A bunch of banelings want to buy the cure.

The baneling lady tells the group about the possible cure.
Cara might be possibly slightly interested.

They stop for the night, and Cara is feeling the hunger.

Kahlan says she has something for Cara to eat.
YES PLEASE. SHE'LL GO FOR SECONDS.

Cara turns Kahlan's ~offer down, stating she wants meat instead.
Richard does not mention the meat in his pants, therefore losing gaining points.

Cara kills one of the bad dudes from earlier, and she has to run for like 2 hours to do it and I love her sfm for it.

ARGH.
I'D STILL HIT IT. I THINK. MAYBE NOT.

Much better.

Yes, Tab was kick ass in this episode.

I spent far too long making this .gif, because I thought Kahlan
handing throwing Cara her backpack was ♥ ♥ ♥

WTF is up with Rahl and fire. He's worse than the damn chimes.

Cara wakes Thaddicus up to gather some firewood.
And apparently, that's code for "let's go away from camp so I can kill you even though it doesn't really make sense, because
what will I tell the others when they ask how you died."

Except she can't do it because she's that awesome.

Poor Cara.

This scene killed me sfm. I'm a sucker for character redemption arcs that happen like this.

... and OMFG Kahlan's face.

This made me wonder how much guilt Cara felt over dying. Kahlan "allowed" Cara's presence in Broken because
Cara would be there to protect Richard... and I think Cara sees her own death as a disappointment to Kahlan.

Yes, obviously serving Richard is the only reason Cara came back.
Obviously.

And then, because they're not done killing me... Kahlan's all "FIX IT NOW, ZEDD. PLZ."

*IZ DED*

And when Kahlan keeps her hand on Cara's shoulder even when Thaddicus kneels before Cara...
omfg, how do these writers seem to know exactly what I want/need? So epic. So gorgeous.

Okay, Thaddicus is back on the wedding guest list. *wipes tear*

Ouch.

Cara and Richard make it to the fountain of Shadow Water just as Rahl is swallowing it up.

So Richard dives for the cure, and Cara dives for him, because that's how she rolls. Or slides.

I just loved this... not in a sexual way, but it was just heartful. Richard being Richard, and putting someone else's life before his.
And Cara's reaction to the lengths Richard (and the others) would go to, to save her life... Tab sold it so well. Everyone did.

Cara revives Thaddicus.

This episode did not have enough R/K, but... I can't complain. I still loved it to pieces.

GUH.

Thaddicus revelation that he broke... *sigh* (and yes, I tried to balance the old ugly with the young pretty in this cap)

Thaddicus died for her... and that allowed Rahl to find the source, which means they can't cure other Banelings now.
Survivor guilt much? I love it.

And just when you thought the episode was done making me fall in love with it...
