Yes, there have been about NINE THOUSAND picspams for this episode, and all of them funnier and prettier than this, but I could feel my Han bottling up inside me until I posted this.
2x08 - "Light"
I'm still on the fence about the white agiel. Red leather is supposed to hide blood well, so that's what they wear for SRS BZNS.
And if they only wear white after breaking someone... do they really need agiels once that's been accomplished?
I mean, technically, their victim would be completely broken and therefore there'd be no need for an agiel...
and even if they did continue to carry an agiel, wouldn't a white one get, well, "messy" very quickly?
(i have no idea why I overthought this so much)
Zedd: No, not the tampon!Agiel, I beg of you!
Threesomes:
You're doing it wrong right.
OMG SO RIGHT.
So, if Verna, Catherine and Elizabeth are true "Sisters of the Light," then who the hell did Richard and Kahlan leave Ren with in "Listener?" (Stepsisters of the Light?)
Speaking of light, I too would like some shed on where/when/how Kahlan got her new outfit, though honestly I am willing to accept
it was a gift from the good Spirits (heck, the Creator himself) and leave it at that.
Now, regarding the "historical accuracy" of Kahlan's outfit and make-up:
a) this is not really medieval Earth, so they could have magical computers in Aydindryl for all we know, and
b) Cara's outfit has a zipper.
OBS.: ZIPPERS MAKE FOR QUICK AND EASY REMOVAL OF CLOTHING.
ALTHOUGH THAT CAN BE MADE SEXY, IT IS STILL NOT AS SEXY AS UNLACING OF GARMENTS.
Cara is not pleased that the SotL wish to take Richard away, because she's against cockblocking on principle.
(except as a method of torture)
You know what they say is the best medicine for headaches?
Excedrin. INTERCOURSE.
Number of times Kahlan and Cara glance at each other during this scene: at least a dozen.
Go watch it if you doubt me... there are stolen glances, meeting glances, "WTF Harry Richard's a wizard?!" glances, and so many more.
SERIOUSLY, IT'S TOTES ADORABLE HOW MUCH THEY'RE RELYING ON EACH OTHER WITHOUT EVEN REALIZING.
Cara is such a good girlfriend, she even takes care of Kahlan's horse for her. No wonder that horse looks so scared during some scenes.
Threesomes:
You're still doing it wrong right.
I had never noticed that the handle on Kahlan's daggers has hands holding a ball. Nice metaphor for confession... and love, and Midlands politics and just about everything else. Wait, does this mean she's letting Richard take one of his balls with him on his journey while she safeguards the other? Wow, that also makes the whole "Kahlan and Cara sharing daggers" extra sexy... and Zedd borrowing Kahlan's dagger extremely wrong. Ew. I should've never gotten on that train of thought.
I has no wurdz. *happy sigh*
Cara is caring for Kahlan's horse again. Or maybe she's putting a bumper sticker on him that says
"Save a Horse, Ride a Mord-Sith"
I've rewatched this episode at least a dozen times, and I'm still creeped out at how much this Denna resembles Zedd's whore-slash-princess from "Wizard."
Do they seriously expect us to pay attention to the plot when Kahlan's wearing that? Because I'd call that blind faith.
Okay, at first I thought she was wearing her regular corset under the new outfit. But from these two shots, it looks like the new outfit is even more complicated.
1. There's embroidering on the edges of the "bra cups" that's similar to the old corset, but it seems the fabric of the breastices area is darker than the dark green
2. The boob covers are sewn into the lighter-colored grayish fabric, so definitely not her old corset.
3. I don't know if the gray area qualifies as a corset... it seems this is-- reinforced? And the buckles are all attached directly to it, so it's like half-corset, half-armor.
4. She looks to be wearing an actual skirt, separate from the top.
5. Also, the vest-type of jacket-- it does not seem to move independently from the rest of the top part of the outfit, so I guess it's sewn in?
6. And the back... I don't even know where to start there, because it seems the gray corset armor thing goes up to her shoulders, under the hood, so... WTF.
7. And I'm still puzzled as to what the hanging thing is. It's stylish, but seems to serve no real purpose. It doesn't seem to carry a sword, because Kahlan always carries Richard's sword on her back. It doesn't hold her daggers, because those are still tucket into her boots. And she doesn't carry an agiel that we know of. At least yet., so... IDK.
8. The shorts below. I didn't mean for the pervy angle, but 800 screencaps later, this was the least blurry one. I'm not so concerned with the fact her new outfit has shorts (pro: lots of visible legs. con: one more garment for Richard and Cara to get through in order to rid Kahlan of her virtue), but I'm very curious about the material... WHAT IS IT? I must know.
This sequence will never NOT be awesome.
GOOSEbumps.
Based on those thighs, no one (but Zedd) should be allowed to ever wear pants on this show again.
I love Kahlan's neutral make-up, and I think Bridget is one of those people that can pull that look off and still make anyone drool at the gorgeousness.
That being said, I do also love the new eye make-up... not just because of the sexy, but because it manages to bring out the blue in her eyes even more.
The result? Even prettier confession SFX.
So, do they only abduct girls with gorgeously long eyelashes to train as Mord-Sith? Or is it the torture that make them so full and luscious?
Kahlan, BB, I know you're sexually frustrated in pain and eager to find Zedd, but agreeing so damn fast to sexy!pain might give Cara the right wrong idea.
I think Cara has two agiels because sooner or later, one of them is bound to melt from her hotness.
I am not well-versed in torture BDSM, but I'm pretty sure maintaining eye contact through the whole thing,
while the torturer is making bedroom eyes at you = asking for more.
Also, looking so freaking happy after = begging for more.
I UNDERSTAND, CONSIDERING SHE JUST GOT TASERED BY CARA WITH RICHARD'S ~LIFE FORCE.
DuChaillu's breasts are not even registering in Richard's radar after so long with Kahlan and Cara.
See what I mean about the BLUE?!
One question: I WANT GRATCH! (okay, that was a statement, but I'm gonna put the real question in white text since it's a book spoiler)
***I know budget won't allow for dragons, and gars are probably expensive, but are we still going to see a battle between the Mriswith and the Gars?
Is Richard still going to be the Gar Whisperer?****
For some reason, I feel I neglect Richard/Craig too often.
Two reasons, actually. Their names are Kahlan and Cara.
... see you in a few episodes? Next season?
The momentum of Kahlan's dagger was enough to stop a magical leaping creature.
Who needs physics when you have your lover's weapons?
Zedd, you should've just named Kahlan the Seeker... after all, according to Sister Verna in the next scene, Kahlan's carrying Richard inside her anyways. kinky
Richard, I like the hair, but it's starting to get too close to a mullet for comfort.
The End
Is is Saturday yet? Though I don't even know how much I'll be able to like this week's episode considering how much the last few weeks have spoiled me. I feel like there's absolutely no way they can top any of it... but then again, that's what I was said before Broken, and Touched, and Fury and Ressurrection and Light, and I kept being wrong.
