201: Election and Picture
So, I was having trouble deciding who to vote for for Freshman Class President. The candidates are:
--Thomas Elliott. Hawt, and good platform. Too tall and kind of a, not jerk, but dismissive. Intimidates me, I guess I should say.
--Neal something-or-other. Hawt, Jewish, blonde. But vague platform, and I know him even less than Elliott.
--Doris! Now, technically I don't know her any better, but she's been very amiable with me. Woman. Open platform, but good advertising. Everytime I go to class I always see "Doris 4 Prez' chalked in. Walking over it ingrains it almost subconsciously. Also, vaguely ethnic. And a WOMAN.
Y'know, call me shallow, but I like the fact that the President (of the school) is a woman. In fact, most of the higher positions are held by women (many Hispanic). And I would love for the Freshman Class President to reflect that.
Of course, it would be dangerous to elect her simply because of her sex, no matter how positive we view that. Thomas's platform is impressive, but I'm torn by Doris, 'cause she seems like a good choice to me too. It's like, my mind says Thomas, but my gut says Doris!

Well, anywho, that wasn't the initial point of this post; actually, the other reason for Doris is she complimented me today (flattery gets you everywhere with me!) about my vest and makeup this past saturday. This is the picture she was talking about (filched from facebook):
I had a closer-up of it, but I just now realized I left my flashdrive in a computer in the IT lab this morning! DX I'll have to get it after my shift though... Yikes!
