133: Coming Home (more a reversion than a revision)

Apr 29, 2007 16:19

A man races up the stairs to his apartment,
Jumping the steps two at a time as he
Fumbles slightly with the keys in his excitement,
Pushing his way eagerly against the door,
And quickly disappearing from sight;

While behind him, the woman follows more slowly,
Climbing with careful, swaying motions--
Weighed down with the same inevitability
That fills his steps.
