533: The Last Week...
--has been craaaazy! Not least of which because I've realized I only have a week left in Sac...;_;
Going backwards: last night I went to a show at True Love Adrian was playing (you guys remember sweet_beanbag 's very talented singer-songwriter boyfriend?) an In the Round with Ricky Berger and Justin Farren. All very wonderful, distinctive musicians--it was one of those amazing shows I love going to in Sacramento: people crammed into a tiny room, three feet from whoever's playing, laughing and tapping along while Adrian mimicks a guitar solo or Berger whips out the xylophone or her ukulele. Farren was also a revelation to me--delightful, rambly folk-pop in a pretty package. ;P
It certainly cheered me right up. . . I guess the sadness is entering into the happiness, realizing why I miss this place,and coming back to my mom's place, realizing why I can't be here--not yet, anyways. Even while I'm desperately wishing and missing, I also realize that I have a better opportunity, education-wise, down south, so that's where I hafta be most of the year. Next fall I go to France... and hopefully after I graduate I can go there or somewhere else for a year, do that teach English as a Second Language thing.
And there's people down south I know I would miss, too--so life has it's give-and-takes, I guess...
But I'm not gonna lie to you, my beloved LJers: I've met someone, so going back at the end of this week is gonna be ten times harder and I'm gonna miss prolly just as hard this semester.
But what can you do?
Cry, seems to be the usual answer.
Or, in my case, write poetry.
Yeah, gotta work on that...XP

But I'm sure you'll hear more about those escapades later (in whatever form): I had gotten most of the way through my 9 Songs review before I lost it...DX So I'ma rewrite that, and hopefully get through as many reviews as I can, when I can.
Meanwhile, I'll try to keep you guys updated more: I just seem unable to sit down and *think* lately... will work on that, too...
