1. Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
When I'm 30... gosh! Let's hope I've finished school by then, am at the very least beginning my teaching career, and... hm, whatever first major creative accomplishments (novel, album, whatev) would be nice by or around this time...
2. What has been the formative experience of your life so far?
Definitely the year (2004-2005), my sister started abusing me, my parents decided to play victims about it, and I tried to kill myself... Or maybe, going to Choices (my high/charter school); it was because of the people there that I managed to recover and become some semblance of a functional human being *remembers graduation speech fondly*
3. I like your Virgin Mary icons - what is your relationship/attraction to Her?

Well, it's hard just to say what our relationship is, as me and the Holy Mother have had our ups and downs, still trying to figure out whether we're trying to one-up God or reinvent conventional definitions of womanhood... But the source is easy to trace: ever listen to that show, Sound and Spirit, on NPR? Well, I remember this one anecdote about the Black Madonna (in Poland) that resonated with me, and I've just had a resounding draw to her since then (something to do with the strong women in my life, no doubt...)
