Doomsday

I just watched a program on the history chanel about doomsday devices, etc. The amazing thing is that they visited the street that I live on, Clifton Road, twice in just one episode about doomsday. First they were talking about bio-warfare, smallpox, anthrax, and more of those whatnots, so of course they go visit the Center for Disease Control which researches all of those viruses right across the street from me. No kidding, I can walk out my door right now and see the same camera shots of the CDC that they were showing on the History Channel. I might even be able to go wait outside the CDC on the sidewalk and talk to people who were just handling Ebola a few moments ago right before their lunch break.

Next they talk about genetic engineering and how it can potentially destroy the world if they mess a few things up with genetically altered crops. So they go talk to the experts of genetic research, some of the people that helped map the human geno at Emory University.

So anyway, that makes two "doomsday" research laboratories I walk by everyday on my way to class and for me, thats a personal record.

This place is so cool.
