Now that the fog of cold medicine has lifted somewhat, I can post about my Xmas presents!

Books

I got some great stuff from my wishlist:




I heard about Janet Flanner’s writing on Bookish Butch‘s blog, and I’m really excited about this one. Lesbian journalist chronicles her experiences in the cultural circles of interwar Paris: MUST READ.




Backstage Pass: Interviews with Women in Music, by Laura Post, is another addition to my interest in lesbian cultural history. It’s very mid-90s, but it’s a wide ranging collection of interviews, from grande dames of the Women’s Music scene like Cris Williamson and Margie Adams, to more mainstream artists like Marianne Faithfull and Kristen Hersh.

I also got a £10 gift certificate to Amazon.com, which I used to get a copy of Adrienne Rich’s Atlas of the Difficult World. I’ve decided to spend 2012 building up my poetry collection.

That gift certificate also came in handy in getting Tori’s new album! I also got the single that was taken off Boys for Pele, “In the Springtime of His Voodoo”
