Doctor Who

Shorter DW: Stupid woman, why don't you just listen to the clever mens? Thank god we've got the Doctor and Rory to save the day! This is what happens when you have lady bosses, they go all mean and bitchy and just inherently evil. Now let's rehash some sci-fi/horror cliches that are not at all surprising or scary.

A disappointing episode after last weeks "The Doctor's Wife", which I loved. I mean, I'm a Neil Gaiman fangirl so I was pretty much garaunteed to like it. The first time we watched it, we had our three year old nephew with us, and it was pretty cute how he kept saying "Why?" and "I don't want Woh-wee (Rory) to be dead!" We had to reassure him that Rory was just pretending. I thought the actress who played the Tardis/Idris was excellent, and I liked that Gaiman gave Amy an actual personality in this episode (it's like he thinks women are people! Craaaaazy). Matt Smith was his usual delightful self. And the whole thing reminded me a lot of Neverwhere, for some reason; maybe because of the subterranean feel that House had, and the evocative riddling style the characters speak in. Classic Gaiman; the best episode so far this season.
