I will point out my frustration that everyone, from the original detective to Summerscale herself, seem to have overlooked a pretty vital and obvious clue: the killer must have been left-handed. So who in the house was a lefty? Which, admittedly, might be impossible to find out in an era when lefties were forced to use the right hand. At any rate, I really enjoyed this book. Although it did kinda just reinforce my belief that nuclear families are inherently toxic…
