Favorite Friendship
I had to think about this one a bit, but I think my favorite friendship on the show is Tara and Dawn. I like that Tara really enjoys being with Dawn, that she likes Dawn as a person, not just Buffy's kid sister. And I like that Dawn has a relationship with Tara separate to her relationship with Willow; Tara isn't just Willow's girlfriend to Dawn, like she is for most of the gang. The way they bond over being Scoobie outsiders is sweet, and the mentoring, maternal relationship Tara has with Dawn reminds me a lot of a similar friendship in my life, with Brazilian Sister, who's a few years older than me. I'm kinda of the Dawn to her Tara.
TARA: Lotta homework?
DAWN: Ah, math. It seemed cool when we were singing about it.
TARA: (smiles) Willow said they have a lead on the whole musical extravaganza evil. This demon that can be summoned, some sort of Lord of the Dance. (grins) Oh, but not the scary one. Just a demon.
