Hot Dog, Jumping Frog, Alberquerque

At last the heat seems to be subsiding, at least for the moment. All I ever seem to write about here is either rants about the weather or the 'f' word. And no I'm not being smutty.

This week has made me glad I've not been working in an office. I remember in my last job we had to work through a heatwave a few years back. I say 'we', I mean the temps had to work, full-time staff got to go home on full pay. It's amazing how bitter I still am about that after all this time.

With not working at the moment I've been able to constantly shift from one place to another, trying to find the optimal location to chill in. Which hasn't worked as I still sweat like a fat man running after the ice-cream van, and have the sort of pale skin that makes Boo Radley look like he's just had two weeks in Ibiza. (Oooh, literary reference there, go me)

As always, nothing interesting to report, such is life at the minute.

An old friend has gone to T in the Park this weekend, and I am insanely jealous. Looks like I'll have to resort to watching highlights on BBC3. Rock and roll.
