A Progression Of Thoughts
Brazil is playing their first match tomorrow. A match that I probably won't see because I'll be out on the golf course....might be Katchewano or Tamarac....or we might just go back to Heron Landing again. In any event, I hope we actually get 18 in this time, as my conditioning the last few weeks is starting to pay dividends. I actually noticed this while I was watching American Gladiators yesterday morning. I realized that I actually have a really good frame to work with, and that I've packed about 5 pounds of muscle on in the last 6 weeks. However, unlike the Gladiators, I have not pumped myself to capacity with steroids, therefore my head stays in its rather odd shape, and my testicles refrain from morphing into raisinettes....YAY ME!
I guess everyone I know was doing stuff on Saturday night except me, on account of I was completely burnt out from the night previous by working on 20 minutes of sleep...whoops! Nothing like sucking back a few shots of Extreme vodka at 4AM in the hottub! But yeah, I don't regret staying back Saturday night to catch up on sleep. But I still wish I could've gone to the Junction, where I probably would've run into Blair smack-dab in the middle of his stag. Poor guy was a train wreck at work the next day and puked midway through the shift (upstairs in the washrooms, mind you).
How the hell can I be up 8-1 going into the weekend and end up only coming out in a 5-4 win by Monday morning???? BAAAAAAD Thome...bad Thome.
Did some great Father-Son bonding with dad last night - watching Kill Bill. This is due to our shared love of David Carradine. So good was the movie, that we're watching KBII tomorrow night.
I wonder who actually reads this....I mean, there's the usual suspects - Trevor, Wes, Mel, Janelle, Kristen, Steve - those who comment on at least a semi-regular basis. But is there some sort of silent mass of folks who read this?? I remember talking to Adam at the Trash one night many moons ago and he said that he and Dewart occaisionally read this, and are impressed with my "unique" view of things (which I'm convinced is a genuine compliment based on my ability to be frank, and not pussyfoot around stuff....not to mention my pride in always standing by what I post on here, IE no deleting, editing, or apologies).
I wonder.......
