Zoo follies

We have some English social workers out here....returning some kids to Oz. Awful case I won't bore you with details. The workers were pretty traumatised so my boss and I have been trying to make their week or so here more palatable.  Sadly Sydney is experiencing it's coldest summer opening for 50 years.  Rain and rain.

Today I picked them up and took them to the zoo to see our program there. They had close up encounters with kangaroo, echinda, possum and quokka. Saw the fantastic bird show, the baby tiger cubs and other cool things. I turned them loose to do their own thing and travel back across the harbour by ferry. Sydney turned on a dry day after 10 so that was good.

Traffic in Beverly Hills. The only similarity I suspect with BH. Ca is the palms and the thick traffic.

I'm a big boy, I can take traffic. I did avoid the tunnel though..i hate being stuck in the tunnel. I'm sure one day its going to be a 5 km inferno.

Me and some elephants. We couldn't entice them into the water although they do like their pool.

On the skycar - with the city behind. It was overcast but you can make out the opera house. the small island in the middle was called PinchGut. The bad convicts were chained there. No point swimming back to land...the harbour was and is shark infested.

The baby emus were fascinated by my rings. Kept following me around and pecking at them.
