Brittany Murphy…So What?

We’ll all have the same discussion about it and the obligatory comparison to Heath Ledger, regarding intent. How many of the people we assume to be outgoing and successful are on anxiety medications? Is there anything genuine about charisma? Or does everything sincere about them come bursting out in the end as pills from a child-safe bottle? What can we learn from the deaths of entertainers? How frequently do you feel the pressure to be “driven to succeed?” We have morbidly high expectations of ourselves in terms of determination, extroversion, and performance; so we see the result projected into the myths of our time. Our gods (i.e. celebrities) are so “driven” they drive themselves right over the edge on the backs of doctors and the justification of a demanding career. I don’t mean to imply that I exalt laziness, but how much are you faking it to make it and how long before you call the doctor?
