the long awaited...long entry
so, there is quite a lot to say...so lets start this off, but keep it organized
the graduation: i reached el camino around 6:20, thinking i was plenty early, but the parking lot was already filled. i walked over, gown and all and found some friends, steve, steve, ed, shawn, sean, craig, ashley, sarah and others. the mood was so...so reflective, but we will get to that in a minute.
we finally gathered into the larg gym, and got in practice rows (they never checked to see if we were wearing ties, i think the reason they stressed about it so much was so there was no chance for streaking). we all began the walk out of the gym and onto the field. we found our seets as parents cheered their respected graduates walking by. it was great, the feeling was great. its impossible to capture the mood in words. the ceremony began, and Mr. Boone began readin from 'oh the places you'l go" by dr. seus. he went a little long, but it was nice because my mom gives that same book to me every time i graduate with a special note in it.
so then the speakers/performers began. Jordan played his acoustic guitar and sang a song about graduation, and it was so fucking awesome, i couldnt have been more happy and sad at the same time. i was literally awe struck how great that song was. ashley sang a nice song and the speakers had some nice words to say as well. then they began announcing the names, and i was sitting in the last row with Ed. we had a plan as well.
our last high school hijink - once our row was called to walk up, ed, and i (and carodic, but i dont know him very well) fell back purposely backwards from our chairs onto the ground. it was stupid, but funny. we tried to get our whole row to do it, but only us carried out the plan! next i had my named called and it was great, many people were cheering for me too.
the before graduation party: before the actual ceremony itself though, was the party at my house. my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents were visiting and it was great. we ate lots of food and had cake as well. i also recieved presents as well, but most of it was money. i really got a lot of money too. i seriously got about 1200 in cash and checks. i got a 500 dollar check from my grandmother alone, holy crap. i almost feel like i cant accept that much. lol. so next i have to thank everyone with thank you cards
after graduation partay!: next was the after graduation party itself. i had a fucking great time. i got there around 10:30 or so and found ahsley and sarah bowling and joined them. i bowled a 180, my high that night.
i found some more friends on the far end, and bowled with them for a while. later we got a group together and started some lazer tag. it was decent, but lazer force is better. but it didnt matter because it was such a good time anyways.
some other brief stuff happened, ate some pizza, played some video games in the arcade, bowled a bit more, took pics, tried to visit with all my frieds (and cheer up one in particular, but to no avail). i left around 3:50 because i was really tired and the crowd was thinning out anyways. i got home at 4 and crashed around 4:30 after chatting a bit online.
graduation vacation: the next morning my family and i left for stensons beach. we got there around 2 and layed by the beach for a while. overall, i had a great time on this short vacation with family. i played some football and basketball there, and won 6 bucks gambling with uncles and cousins (we bet with merely nickels, dimes and quarters). the next morning we ate at the famous cafe and left for home.
once getting home i chilled around the house, exhasusted from the days of events. later that night i took my cousin up to Dikodi gaming center and met up with my friends. we were there for about an hour, he enjoyed his time enemsly.
gawd, this was such a great weekend. im still recovering from all the parties and trips. my sleep is definately fucked up. tmrw is the first day home alone this summer, but i do work at 5. il have another entry about school later, the history of my fav teachers. lol, like you all care anyways.
