WE HAVE A HOUSE!!!!!!!!!! There's a couple of steps left to be finalised but basically it's ours. And it's the really great one that we made an offer for in the beginning but it wasn't accepted... we made another offer and the guy is 'talking' about it with his solicitor, but he's practically agreed already. So YAY! HOUSEHOUSEHOUSE!! Of course this means moving again, which is *great*... (SDN)
We went to see Madame Butterfly this afternoon and it was EXCELLENT! True, it was sometimes hard to understand what they were actually saying, but they all had really amazing voices. Except the woman playing Butterfly was about fifty, and the character is sixteen. This made my dad rant the whole way home. I think I should sign up for the next show ;P, because I could so easily sing opera for two hours each night... sheesh people, have some appreciation for artists. No wonder the world is so shallow.
I really liked the guy who played Goro, also. The way they made him look Japanese was really clever. (All the artists were Anglo - I wonder why there are no Asian opera singers?) Plus he was the funniest, sort of the comic relief. My dad is going to take me to see the Mikado next month. I have ten songs from that on my G&S cd, the strangest of which is 'For he's gone and married Yum-Yum'.
Still trying to find an alternative name for Draco in my new fic, Evanesco. For those of you I haven't ranted to about it for hours, Malfoy snr. puts a spell on him that causes him extreme pain whenever anyone mentions his real name (first or last) in his presence. Sort of like Spike's chip just with a different trigger. So they have to call him something else - I think I can safely say that here I am going where no author has ever gone before... what to call Draco if he beeth not Draco? Je ne sais pas.
Oh yes, how could I forget - spent hours this morning chatting to Rach, Kate, and Mr. G ALL AT THE SAME TIME by webcam. Mr. G's house has pink walls and he has a map of England behind his desk. *giggles* He showed me his new baton (£20!!!!!!) and I asked him 'Why don't you just use your finger?' before realising how INCREDIBLY wrong that sounded. But other than that is was super fun. MSN tires me out :(.
Tomorrow I am going to pick up The Kings Assassin from the library because I cannot last another DAY without it! GRRRRRRRRR! Why do they always put them tempting little previews in the backs of the books? *runs away*
