Morning all. I'm writing this in homegroup this morning because last night I was too incapitated to even check my email. Aw, the pain!
It was so hot yesterday that homework or anything related was completely out of the question until I'd had a swim, so I went swimming. Sounds innocent? The moment I got into the shower when I came out, I felt a sharp, unbearable pain in my side. I collapsed down the wall.
Gasping, I somehow managed to crawl out and curl up on the bathroom mat. When I'd gotten over the initial shock (but still hurting like hell) I went out onto the landing and yelled for my mum. I don't know what she thought when she saw me doubled over on the floor but she made me lie down on my bed (completely soaking wet, still, and with no clothes save a towel) and then sprayed my side with this stuff that made it tingle, then go hot, and then seize up.
This spread to my arm and I was starting to worry that it was going to render me even more helpless than I already was - especially since Alice and mum went out straight afterwards to pick up Misha from the vets!! She'd just been neutered, and she looked like I felt (when I finally managed to make my way downstairs).
Then, when the pain had almost completely subsided, I decided to continue with my mission to get clean and have a bath instead. Guess what? As soon as I got comfortable in the hot water - it started again!! But this time I was slightly more ready for it and I thought 'damn this, I'm gonna get clean no matter what.' and somehow managed to soap all over and wash my hair. After this I got straight out, pulled on my pyjamas with some difficulty, and re-dosed myself with the spray stuff.
It took me AGES to get to sleep, but when I woke up I was fine, so I don't even get a day off school for it. Grr. It still aches, anyway.
