I'm dreading the strike too. Here's to walking to campus from west of Bloor and Ossington.

Dude, Christian was all ready to walk from my college campus to penn station with a suitcase, which is about an eighty-block walk. i finally convinced him to take a cab (oddly enough, cabs can be CHEAPER in a strike, especially if you're a girl--individual drivers tend to take pity on you if you're a student/obviously not wealthy). My city's lived through it, you guys can do it too.

It's not that bad a walk: I've done it a couple times. I wouldn't look forward to doing it twice a day, but it's less than 45 minutes.

From Royal York and Dundas, on the other hand....
