I've always figured there's some truth to the saying, "beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
Tonight, I got a reminder of that, but with a new spin:
Whilst driving [back] to work this evening, I passed by a meadow filled with fireflies, which is certainly not a rare sight, this time of year. However, I think it was the first time I had ever taken the time to observe said occurrence, from inside a moving vehicle. The effect was such that it appeared as though it was the lightning bugs traveling at 50 m.p.h., rather than yours truly.
And to top it off, the Foo Fighters' February Stars was playing, at the very moment that the aforementioned insects appeared to be streaking through the night air. It all just fit together rather neatly, if I do say so, myself.
Cool.
