This week showed me that I have the best of the world right here. Anywhere you go, it comes down to who you know and if you enjoy your friends. And I have some of the best friends. People who seem to know what life is about and live accordingly. Spending time with friends, helping others, being generally good people. Doing what they want to do. It's the redeeming quality of america, because if people this good are here, are from here, there is hope for the country.
i also found myself listening to some country as i scanned the radio on my drives this weekend. To be expected on fl/s. ga radio i guess. two songs stick out in my mind.
- leaving the funeral there was a horrible yet appropriate song about "live like you're dying" that i have never heard before. and i couldn't take it.
- who knew a song with a refrain going "and that's why i have a sticker for the US Marines on the bumper of my SUV" would be serious.
it was so good to see everyone this last week. It makes me so happy to go to a variety of fl/ ga cities and have a great time everywhere, seeing people i truly care about.
