New Family!
*giggles* I'm so excited! By next Sat, I'll be having a new family member! Lizz (the breeder I've been chatting with) is coming over next Saturday, and if I understand what she's implying, she'll likely bring Mirage and Illusion (the two chins I've been looking at). If all goes well, hopefully one of those beautiful girls will be staying with me ^_^ They're rescues, already a few years old each, but chins live anywhere between 15 and 20 years with good care. Very much a long term pet. I can't wait!
I think I'm going to take back the food I bought from the petstore. I paid about $9 for it, and it's just over a pound. Though it sounds good, things I've been reading about it make me hesitant. Then when I did the math, if I take the food back and add a few dollars to the $9 I can get (from a reputable site):
-4lbs of chin-certified food
-4lbs of fresh timothy hay
-a 100g bag of Rosehips
-2 springs to help keep one of the doors shut and the water bottle on
-8 clips & hooks
-a hanging chew toy that also includes 2 pieces of cord for me to make more toys
All delivered to the house. Much better deal than $9 for a bag of food.
I need to get to a fabric store asap. I need to make some sort of bedding for her little hideaway (the bottom of the cage is wire mesh) and maybe a little hammock. She's going to be so spoiled :)
