Why oh why oh why did I have to pick the stupidest idea ever for a physics project? Because I'm clearly an idiot, I decided to look at the effect of temperature on the surface tension of water.
Reasons Why This Was Stupid:
1. It involved making the most fiddly counter balance ever which took me ages.
2. I'm not even sure if it actually works. Sometimes it seems to be working and then all of a sudden I'll start changing the temperature and there will be no difference whatsoever. Am starting to worry that my balance isn't sensitive enough and all the times it seemed to be working were actually just flukes. Which is BAD because I can't actually make my scale any more sensitive than it already is without using stupidly expensive equipment that my college doesn't even have.
3. I can find no background research on this at all. All the studies I can find on the subject are by Cambridge University Press or wherever and cost about £20 each if I want to read them. I am not prepared to spend £20 on one article of research, thank you very much.
I think I may need to look for a new project.
(I think this may be the first time that my icon has ever been appropriate for an entry)
