Ugh, I always knew Penn was a douche, and yet I'm constantly surprised by just how douchy he is. It amazes me that Blake's actually dating him, because she seems so genuinely sweet.

I would still put good money on it being a publicity-related showmance, but then I'm a hardened cynic who hardly ever believes celebrity couples really like each other. :)

(Although, don't hate me for saying this, but my friend went to the GG set to interview the cast and he reckons that everyone couldn't have been lovelier except for Blake, who was a right piece of work. Please don't hit me.)

Hee, not going to hit you! I think just about every celebrity ever has been accused of being not that nice at one time or another, and I'm not going to place that much weight on one report when I don't know all the details and circumstances. (Not saying that I don't believe your friend, I just mean that I'm not going to make a snap judgement based on that.)

Also - see, I want Penn/Blake to be just for publicity, but I don't want to become a total Bleighton tinhat, so I try to maintain some sort of balanced view of things.

I am wholly in favour of this! I vote for "Dan accidentally falls through open manhole cover and spends the entire episode calling for help which never arrives". Even better if Georgina returns solely for the purpose of pushing him in.
