bastille days, bus boy nights.

I've been meaning to update for the last week or so. something silly and fun will happen and i'll think, danget, I need to write in my LJ about that one.
chalk it up to laziness. i never do.

i went to victoria's sercret for the first time ever with marie last week, in the mall of america. that was fun. they didnt have bra's big enough for these boobs, did they marie? har har.
we also just had a grand ol girl day. and we talked about pervy things while drinking coke with grenadine. yessssssssssss.

one night after i got off work we met up in uptown... went to a couple differnet places... ended up at hard times cafe.. since it's open the latest (4AM). for the second time in the last couple of weeks, in a sorry attempt to find out if we were willingly single females, this guy asked if marie and i were 'together' aka lesbianos. uhm.. when just a few weeks early we had the same question asked by a guy so obviously trying to 'pick us up'. common guys, can't you think of a better way to ask if we're available? needless to say the second time around, we couldnt help but break down in laughter.
and last night, we went out and saw a TEAM SLEEP show, which was mainly funded on my part by jake. i mean, dude, marie DOES need protection. and who better to give it to her? har. we ended up going to lil" T's afterwards, and these older dudes told me i looked like some chick off saturday night live, and then scolded marie for drawing aweful pictures of me.
then those older men left, and three drunk guys came in.
minneapolis is non-smoking now, and one of them lit a cig, and marie sad (quite loudly i'd say) "HEY! You can't do that in hear that's gRoss!". the waitress rushed over and said something about no effings cigs, and put it out in his water. those guys ended up getting into a fight with a slender tattooed boy in the next booth, and punched his head into the wall. they ended up starting to fight, and the people that worked there had to try to seperate them, and kick the drunk guys out. it was pretty crazy.
i think one day marie and i are going to get punched in the face or something.

shannon and I had a good day today. since marie kept me up late last night from all our pervin... i dont know how but i missed church. i've missed church two other times since i moved here. I dont really like to do that.
but we went to "Bastille Day" endorsed by Cafe Barbette. and how might you ask, did i find out about this one? har har har...

well i read a bus for the first time ever on tuesday. it was delightful! with a girl jamie, from work. we went to uptown to get a new jewerly piece for my septum piercing (which they wouldnt put in for me, but they sold it to me anyway) and we took a bus to downtown to eat at Chevy's.. then back to Uptown. on the way to uptown i saw a tall skinny boy with big hair getting into a bus, and i was like crap! we have to get into that bus there's a cute boy! of course, that was the bus wwe needed anwyays, so my friend got on, and i followed suit. (who would have guessed it was so hard to figure out the whole ticket on bus thing??)
so i got that all settled, and headed towards the back where jamie was, which happened to be about three or so seats away from cute boy.
so he started talking to me, and told me that i should go to this thing, and handed me the card for "Bastille Day", which is basically an outdoor festival with a bunch of bands from 2-10pm on sunday. I only really noticed one band on there that I had recognized (because my roomie listens to them) and I automatically said them outloud... "faux jean".
yeah, well apparently that was the band he was in. (anyone else tired of boys in bands? can i get an amen?)
sooo ehh.. i'm a coward. i dont ask or give numbers really, but i sure as heck DO give out myspace links! and so i did. he doesnt have a myspace though. no internet. but faux jean does...

and so i spotted him at the bastille thingger, and I didnt really want to go up to him all nerdy and say Hi, so i just placed myself in a spot where i could POSSIBLY be easily spotted.
and i was. so he came to talk to me, and called me by name. POINT for steven aka bus boy!
at the end of their show, I went to say goodbye, and he said he'd get my number but he didnt have his phone with him... so I ended up getting his.
BINGO.

I also ended up getting a OVER 21 wristband so that i could drink, but I kept telling the lady who thought she was doing me a favor, that I didnt need one cause i didnt drink.
shhhh.... shh..... was her reply.
and now, tis time for beddy by.
